Long Monday...

My job duties over the last two decades plus have left me a very light sleeper, so when a series of thunderstorms began coming through our area starting around 1:30 this morning I was brought to a full state of awakeness, and never got more than back into a twilight state of sleep until the alarm went off at 5:15. So, by this time after a small dinner I am very, very groggy... and right now we have another set of thunderstorms coming through our area. The cat has "gone to ground", meaning we won't see him for a couple hours or so, and the puppy is chewing her bone in front of us, but preferring to be back in the bed snuggled safely between us, safe from the storms.
