Hi Hanna, Bye Hanna... stay away Ike...

...our part of the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry was spared the worst of Tropical Storm Hanna as it passed to our east in the Atlantic Ocean. I was awakened more by the puppy having to go out do to her bizness than I was my storm sounds. In fact, after I brought the puppy back in at 1:30 a.m. or so, and I checked that the center of Hanna was well to our northeast...THEN we lost electricity on our STREET. I called in the outage, and power was back within about 20 minutes.

Now Hurricane Ike is bearing down on the lower Bahamas and Cuba for projected landfall or weather impact by Monday morning, with a projected path leading into the Gulf of Mexico... and toward New Orleans...
