My work week is over, and a long weekend is in my future... hopefully, a quiet weekend so I can try to rest a little.

Alas, not likely to happen... I have commitments across the next three days that preclude much rest. Oh well...

Hurricane Ike is bearing down on the Texas coast, and unlike when Gustav hit New Orleans NOW the gas stations are gouging the gas prices. Locally, the cost of basic unleaded has gone up almost 30 cents in the last 24 hours. At this rate, they should be well over $4 per gallon by the time Ike actually makes landfall in Texas. Remember... the storm has not hit the Gulf Coast just yet, and already the gas stations a re making us pay the price of gasoline that won't be in the tanks for at least 3 to 6 months... PRICE GOUGING.

When I went to work this morning the gas price was $3.53.9, and when I came home it was $3.83.9.

So when you has up next time, ask the gas station manager if the gas in the tanks when you just gassed up was from the same tanker truck... and why he is gouging us on the gas price. What will the price be tomorrow morning?...
