The busy Christmas season continues in full power...
Frdiay was our city's annual Night on the Town, when the downtown streets are closed to vehicular traffic and the businesses stay open late to thank all their visitors for doing business with them and to kick off the Christmas season here. The main singers and Marine Corps band and dancers performed on the refurbished Waterfront Park, and the County Librarian read the Christmas Story as Santa arrived to pantomime his part of the story... Santa was joined by Mama Claus to lead the gathered throngs in perfect weather to light the new Christmas Tree on the Waterfront Park Pavilion.
Saturday morning Santa and Mama returned from their Northern home to visit the children and families at St. Peter's Catholic School Breakfast before quickly scurrying by reindeer to South Carolina National Golf Club to visit with the children waiting for them there. They then returned home to supervise the workshop activity in preparation for The Big Night...
The Clauses again returned for the annual Christmas Parade on Sunday afternoon, another perfect-weather event. After a magnificent Southern City event, the Merry Makers returned home yet again to continue their incredible work...
